Ruth graduated from UCD in 2003 with a first class honours in Physiotherapy, and was awarded the prize for top clinical marks in her year. She then worked in St Vincent’s University Hospital before studying Sports Medicine in Trinity College Dublin. She travelled to Australia in 2006 to complete a Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in Curtin University Perth.
Ruth has worked in private practice since 2005 and has a strong interest in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. She qualified as a Body Control Pilates Instructor and uses pilates as a key component in rehabilitation.
Ruth has worked with local and intercounty GAA teams, AIL rugby teams, the Irish Swimming Team and the 2012 Olympic Development Squad. In recent years, Ruth has gained experience in ante and post-natal care and has a particular interest in the treatment of pelvic girdle pain and diastasis rectus abdominus. Ruth also lectures in UCD on the undergraduate physiotherapy degree programme.
